EU Directive and TissueDB®
From April 2007 all EU members have to harmonise their legislation with the standards of the EU Directive 2004/23/EU. This directive defines the general conditions and quality standards for the handling of tissues of human origin – securing full transparency of all tissue banks’ activities, exact tissue traceability and record-keeping for 30 years. TissueDB® is already fully compliant with this Directive.
