Our unique BCB 360° information service combines, processes and analyses the data that is gathered in quality registries into an illustrative and more usable format to be used in analytics. Medical data analytics requires high-quality, relevant and reliable data. The set of data compiled from daily medical care in the quality registries is available and can be used in disease-specific analytics.
Quality registries contain disease-specific data that is accumulating daily in connection with the treatment of patients. The data may consist of information entered by healthcare professionals in connection with administered treatment, information that patients have entered in validated questionnaires or updated information received from other IT systems thanks to system integration. The data is always collected in a structured format, and thanks to the systems’ built-in features, it is always of a very high standard.
Relevance and amount of data
The data in the quality registries is disease-specific. It is collected along the entire clinical pathway, with special focus on the clinical data that is most relevant in terms of the disease and the required treatment. Quality registries give medical staff access to all the essential information for treating a patient, from a single system. Information on a single patient is collected in as many as between 500 and 3,000 data fields, depending on the disease and the monitoring period.
Quality registries are used on a daily basis along with treating patients, and the data collected in them is subject to constant scrutiny by the medical treatment staff. Any potential incorrect entries or missing information is inevitably revealed in day-to-day work, and updates can be made quickly. The data collected in the quality registries is thus highly reliable.
